Subscription Box #1 (Jan/Feb 2022)
This subscription box was the first ever released by omada.wine after our launch in January 2022 – and in every way it’s telling for the kind of natural wines that we see fit to drink!
3 bottle Box
Gustavs Cider 2018 is the kind of apple cider you drink casually on the bench in front of Rødder & Vin’s shop any day and hour of the week! Made from mixed apple varieties harvested in a buzzing and wild biodynamic orchard in Veksø north of Copenhagen and vinified by the acclaimed photographer, Rødder & Vin regular and friend Søren Rønholt.
Lunatic Orange 2020 is made from one of Cédric Garreau’s oldest plots of land with an underground dominated by schist. And believe us, Lunatic Orange is no ordinary Loire-Chenin. The grapes were pressed after 2 weeks of skin contact and left to rest on the gross lees for a year on old barriques. This creates a very aromatic and quite spicy “orange” Chenin with a solid structure and a long aftertaste.
Gamins 2020 is a great example of Adrien de Mello’s amazing ability to make wines that almost makes your mouth water. One of the secrets behind the freshness and crunchy bite in his red wines is the fact that he presses most of his reds in whole bunches after a relatively short maceration time and leaves them to age on glass fibre tanks. In this case the result is a herby and super juicy Gamay, just the way we like it!

Extending to the 6 bottle box
Mathilda 2020 is a fruity and refreshingly fizzy blend of the most common white Nahe grapes: Silvaner, Kerner and Riesling. Piri harvested the grapes from different plots with an underground made up of gravel, red clay and sand. The grapes were pressed directly, some of them in whole bunches to give a crunchy, sour and fresh sensation, and then left to rest on the lees on old Tonneau barrels. We follow Piri’s invitation and say: let’s hang with Mathilda!
Experienca Parrelada 2019 is a mineral and fresh Parrelada with a bitter-dry structure and a herby finish. The grapes used to make this wine were harvested from a very old high altitude-plot with an underground consisting of clay and limestone. It was pressed after a few days of skin contact and aged on its lees on steel tanks. To us, this is the kind of wine you drink while wondering what to drink next – and you know that this is always the best bottle!
On the Rock Again 2019 is harvested from one of Nicolas Chemarin’s oldest vineyards situated on the top of a North-West facing hill where the top soil layer is very narrow. What this means is that the vines are basically standing on pure rock, or in this case limestone and red clay, something that makes a deep, earthy and super complex Beaujolais Gamay.
