Roussillon is a wine region located in the southeast of France. The region has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The most widely grown grape varieties in the region include Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre for red and rosé wines, and Macabeu, Grenache Blanc, and Roussanne for white wines.
Roussillon wines are typically well-balanced, with flavors of red fruits, herbs, and spice – often noted for their bright acidity and subtle minerality, and can range in style from dry to off-dry.
