About 100 miles east of Paris, you’ll find the region of Champagne, known for their bubbles, elegance and finesse.
The three main grape varieties used in Champagne are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. These grapes are used to produce a wide range of sparkling wines, from crisp and refreshing Blanc de Blancs, which are made entirely from Chardonnay grapes, to full-bodied and complex Rosé Champagnes, which are made from a blend of red and white grapes.
Each grape variety brings its own unique characteristics to the wines of Champagne. Chardonnay grapes are known for their crisp, fruity flavors and aromas, while Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes are known for their richness and depth of flavor. Together, these grape varieties create the distinctive character of Champagne wines.
